The day before we left by bus for Madrid where the COP25 was to be held (instead of Santiago de Chile), a mobilisation against Black Friday was organised in Toulouse, as beaucoup d’autres villes en Francein many other cities in France.
Here is the flyer published by Extinction Rebellion to announce the event:
"Against Black Friday - For the Living
28 local groups are mobilising (the count is still rising).
Friday 29 November is Black Friday: a day of intensive sales and compulsive shopping, a symbol of what is most evil in capitalism.
Devouring our world, depleting its natural resources, multiplying ecocides, exploiting the weakest, and deepening social inequalities in the name of the myth of infinite growth. Consumerism will end up destroying us/all if we don't act first.
Friday 29 November is Block Friday: a day when Extinction Rebellion joins the call of Youth for Climate France and many local groups: Attac France, Greenpeace France, Alternatiba, ANV Action non-violente COP21, Résistance à l'Agression Publicitaire, Les Amis de la Terre France, Boycott Citoyen and many other mobilised structures.
Together, we are mobilising to festively occupy or block "temples" of consumption in more than 20 cities in France.
Our watchword is to prevent them from making a profit on something that does not belong to them: living things.
We want to show them our resolute opposition to the future mass extinction they are planning. And to propose non-market and non-destructive alternatives.
More than 20 local Extinction Rebellion groups are organising around the actions on 29 or 30 November. You can find registration forms below [...].
Soon other mobilisations will be reported on XR France's communication tools

In Toulouse, the day started with a kind of free market in front of Fnac in the late morning, followed by a Climate March with Youth for Climate in the afternoon and finally a rally in front of Primark's windows, which was quickly dispersed by the police.
